Red Willow Connections is about supporting people to find a sense of safety and connection- within ones self, in relation to others, and in relation to our non-human relatives and Mother Earth.
Wellness, I believe, is found when we are in connection. Counselling & services provided by Red Willow Connections are offered with this vision in mind.
Wellness occurs at many levels, from the individual to the societal. Red Willow Connections provides a range of services aimed at supporting individuals, groups, and community to be well. This includes counselling, educational groups, and community organization consulting.
All learning is relational. This is why groups can be a powerful setting for us to learn, grow, and heal. Groups may take place inside, outdoors, or at community locations and can touch on topics such as mindfulness, story exploration, ecotherapy, personal growth, and more. See "upcoming gatherings" for up to date therapeutic or educational groups.
Consulting services include policy development, staff training, program development, leadership coaching, & proposal writing. I am passionate about supporting community organizations to provide the best services possible. Please see " nonprofit consulting" for more on how we may work together.
Community is everything. Red Willow Connections loves to work in partnership with community-serving organizations, to strengthen the capacity of your organization and support your service recipients. If there are services that I offer that may benefit those you serve, I am open to discussing nonprofit rates.
Red Willow Connections lives and works in Treaty 1 Territory, original lands of the Anishinaabeg, Inninwak, Anisininewuk, Dakota Oyate, and Dene peoples, and homeland of the Red River Metis Nation. I acknowledge the source of our waters as Shoal Lake 40 First Nation. As a settler of mixed ancestry, I further acknowledge my relations to Treaty 4 and Treaty 5 Territories. I am committed to acknowledging and learning about the harms of past and current colonialism, learning and honouring the traditional laws and teachings of Turtle Island, and taking action to address colonialism.
Join me as I share stories, educational information, and updates on services available.
